Diplomas at the end of the project

A short time before the end of the school year, the students who were involved in the eTwinning project "Friends around Europe 2015-2016" from  Scoala Gimnaziala "Vasile Alecsandri" from Baia Mare, Romania, received the diplomas of participation.

Their teacher, Daniela Buda, and their headmistress, Mrs. Adina Cosma, offered the students from grades 4B and 5B, and the other teachers involved in the project, Raluca Salajan, Mariana Deac, and Octavian Pop,  diplomas of participation to the project, which is the proof offered by the school, that they worked on this project for a school year.

The students from grades 4B and 5B, were very excited and very happy for the event. This comes as a reward for their hard work done in their free time.

Here are some photos from the event:

celebrating the 1st of June - The International Children's Day in Baia Mare

On the 1st of June 2016, the students and teachers from Scoala Gimnaziala "Vasile Alecsandri" Baia Mare, Romania, celebrated the International Children's Day through an art exhibition meant to promote the students' creativity and improve their self-esteem.
Here is the link to our art exhibition:
At the official opening, the school choir, led by their teacher, Mrs. Viorica Costenar and we, the 4th B grade students, led by our teachers: Mrs. Daniela B. Buda and Mariana Deac, have presented a short musical moment to mark the event.
You can hear us sing in these links:

We had great fun and enjoyed the celebration. We also admired the art works of our peers from our school and from other schools from Romania, Italy, Poland, Iraq and other countries. This exhibition is part of our international project called "Children - Our Future", which this year has seen its 9th edition. We invite all those willing to join our project for next year, when we celebrate 10 years since the project started. The 10th edition will start in September 2016 and end in June 2017.
We all wish all the children of the world "Happy Children's Day"!

Swimming is a wonderful sport.

It takes a lot of work to become a good swimmer.

When I was in the 1st grade, I took a 6 months swimming course.

I learnt a lot in six months.

I hope I can do more swimming in future.

I like it very much.

9 May - Europe Day - Ziua Europei

This message comes in Romanian and English
Ziua de 9 Mai are dubla seminificatie: Ziua Independentei Romaniei si Ziua Europei.

English version:

9th of May has a double significance for Romanians: it is, first, the celebration of our Independence Day, and it is also celebrated as Europe Day. On this occasion, the Insitution of the Prefect of Maramures county, together with Directia Judeteana pentru Cultura, Inspectoratul Scolar al Judetului Maramures si and Directia Judeteana pentru Sport si Tineret Maramures, have organised the 9th edition of the Symposium " Romanian Institutions from Maramures Present in European Projects". The activity was held in the Administrative Palace in Baia Mare.
On this occasion, my student, Gabriela Pop, from grade 4B, from Scoala Gimnaziala Vasile Alecsandri from Baia Mare, presented our eTwinning project "Friends around Europe 2015-2016” (http://friendsaroundeurope2015.blogspot.ro/). Together with her classmates, Gabriela has been working on this project this school year, and her efforts have been appreciated at national level, as she got the 3rd prize in the national contest "Made for Europe 2016". This is another proof of the good quality education that our school, Scoala Gimnaziala Vasile Alecsandri from Baia Mare, Romania, offers its students. It also offers its students the opportunity to collaborate with students from other European schools. It is no wonder why our school has got the title of European School twice so far.
